Introducing Tylie Ann Hulet

Tylie was born 11/12/10 at 5:26 pm She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and was 18 1/2 in long. I was induced that morning at 4 am things went pretty slow for a long time. I was contracting but they didn't hurt too much. My Nurse Megan (Tyler's friend at works wife) asked how I was doing and if it would be a good time for her to take her 1/2 lunch. I said of course, about 5 min after that my water broke and I started to REALLY HURT. I called the nurses station and they said they would send in a nurse to help me. I was Tyler's cousin Michelle, she was so helpful. She Checked me and I dilated from a 2 to 4 while she was checking me. So they sent for an epidural. They had me sit up and gave me the epidural between contractions. Luckily my nurse was family because I squeezed her and gave her the biggest hug during my epidural. Then my nurse Megan came back and soon after my epidural I was ready to push. Megan coached me and Tyler was a big support at my side. About an hour or so after I started pushing she told me to stop and to wait for the Doctor. We waited 45 min for the doctor and then about ten min later Tylie was born. As they laid her on my stomach I was overwhelmed. She was beautiful and had the sweetest presence. She was very alert for a newborn. She just kept looking at me and Tyler and then she grasp hold of my finger. I'll never forget that moment... It was the most spiritual and miraculous experience. It all hit me at once that this was a special gift from my father in heaven and he had enough faith in us to raise one of his most choice daughters. I'm so grateful
for the gospel and for my heavenly father for entrusting me with something so important. I love her so much and am loving to get to know more and more about her each day. Tyler and I are so happy and are so excited to share our lives, home family and love with the newest additon of our family.

Tylie had jaundice when she was born. We had to keep her on lights for a few days after we brought her home

The lights gave her red patches all over her body... but I still love this picture

Update

So there's been a lot going on this past year and since I've been a horrible blogger I'll give you a little update. Tyler and I got married 12.12.09. We found out we had a honeymoon baby which we lost the first week in feb. It was a difficult time but we were blessed found out we were pregnant again in March. Overall I've had a pretty good pregnacy. I'm high risk because I have a protein s deficiency so I'm had to meet with the OB doctor more than normal and Tyler's had to give me heparin shots twice a day. He's become a great nurse. But here we are almost 9 months later and everythings gone great. We are so excited and I'll be sure to post some pictures when she comes. Due to me being on Heparin I have to have a planned birth so I'm going to be induced Nov. 12th, 2010. That's in 9 day's. I'll have to post some pictures when she comes.

This is me with exactly 2 weeks to go. I love how black hides everything :)

Our Honeymoon

I know this post is long over due, but I figure it's better late then never, right? I'm trying to get all caught up. I know I'm a horrible blogger, but I'm trying :)

For our honeymoon we went to Cozumel Mexico. It was so amazing! I felt so at home there, maybe because the locals would come up to me and start speaking Spanish ha ha, but we felt incredible safe on this little island. It's located across the ocean from Cancun, but it was lower key and secluded. The resort we stayed at was beautiful and had a private beach attached. We went on a tour around the island stopped at some of the beaches, got my hair braided, hiked to the old Mayan structures, visited the lady of fertility, went to Bob Marley's shake, and saw a few blow holes. The island is small and would only take about 40 min to see the whole thing, so after our tour we rented a scouter and visited the sites on our own. We also took a tour to the Chichen Izta, it was a long day in a hot bus but it was so worth it. It was really neat hearing the history and how it parallels the same story in the Book of Mormon. I'm amazed that structures like these were really built that long ago with out the technology. We bartered with the locals and got a few souvenirs to take home with us, all of which were hand carved (ya right ha ha). We also got to attend the LDS church there on the island. The only missionaries there were sister missionaries that couldn't speak English but there was one Brother of the church who served his mission in the states so he came over and welcomed us. The Church is true no matter where you are. We felt the presence of the spirit as we sat there and listened, even though we couldn't understand much. If you are trying to think of a cool place to travel to Cozumel is it. The island has so much to offer, first class scuba diving, culture, swimming with dolphins, everything you could want in a get-a-way. We had so much fun
